LOVE (it is long but PLEASE read till the end)

Before i start, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! YAY ME! If u see this, wish me a happy b'day on my tagboard! (thick-skin right? haha!) Anyway, although it is my birthday, i will still post. It is because "birthday = the day God brought me to this world" Praise the Lord! I LOVE YOU GOD! <3<3

OK! Today's topic will be LOVE :) What is love?

The dictionary says....
1.a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2.a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend. 3.sexual passion or desire.
4.a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart.
5.(used in direct address as a term of endearment, affection, or the like): Would you like to see a movie, love?
6.a love affair; an intensely amorous incident; amour.
7.sexual intercourse; copulation.
8.(initial capital letter) a personification of sexual affection, as Eros or Cupid.
9.affectionate concern for the well-being of others: the love of one's neighbor.
10.strong predilection, enthusiasm, or liking for anything: her love of books.
11.the object or thing so liked: The theater was her great love.
12.the benevolent affection of God for His creatures, or the reverent affection due from them to God.

There are some nice description in it yet they are some messed up definations. Love is NOT sex.

I was recently disturbed by "love" but i soon found the meaning in my heart. Oh! Oh! Oh! THANKS SHEENA!!! <--- She helped me understand it :p

Question time: Do you find it difficult to love your family or friends? Does it mean a boy and a girl love means Boy-Girl-Relationship?

To me, there are a few types of love :)

Brother-Sister: Showing care and concern to her/him without expecting anything in return. You would be worried for him/her when him/her is sick or troubled.Helping whenever him/her is in need.

Family love: Never hold grudges, accept them as who they are, show care and concern without expecting anything in return. Help each other when possible (e.g. chores "i don't like it, but i still do haha"). But teach them when they are in the wrong. If u do not, you are harming them instead of helping them. When you are in the wrong, apologise! Your parents will still love you and will forgive you if you are willing to change.

Psst: Parents are human, humans are not perfect. What they do may not be correct, but they are doing it because they love you. Parents have different way to show love, some may not show (especially fathers) but deep down they do :) Awwww~~~

Friends love: Love for friends can be shared with the opposite sex. This does not mean you have to date the person to have love for the opposite sex. Friend's love is to show care and concern to your friend in good times and bad times. You love the person because of who he/she is and not what he/she can give you. BUT you would not want to progress further into the relationship (like dating).

Boy-Girl-Relationship (BGR): Sorry i cannot help you :( I am not in a relationship...

Question: How do you know you are ready for a BGR?

Answer: When you feel your spiritual walk with God is close and you will put God above your partner. God will provide the perfect one for you, you do not have to go looking for one.

Owner-Pet-Relationship(OPR): It is to care for the animal and to make sure every part of its life is cared for till it dies.

Psst: Difficult? Think about how great God is. God did it!

Maid-Employer: Is there such love that exist between them? YES! The status "maid" is just another occupation. She is also human. She deserves your love too! If you treat her with love, i am sure she will feel it and she will return the love. :)

Now let us summarise! What is love?

It is to show care and concern without condition. It means do not expect anything in return when you do things for people :) I know it is difficult when people do not appreciate you or never even say a word of thank you. BUT remember! It is WITHOUT condition! Show care and concern WITHOUT expecting a single word thank you. God showed this love to you! Quote from the movie " How can you love someone when that person keeps rejecting you?" Impossible right? But God is doing it right now at this very moment! The very moment you were born, God love you, is loving you, and will continue loving you! Even when you are rejecting God, He is still loving you!

I pray that when u managed to read till this part, you will understand the true meaning of love. Love is free, but because it is free, people take it for granted. Do not take it for granted.
